La Liminal is a cultural mediation collective founded in 2015 by Beatriz Martins and Yolanda Riquelme.

 

The idea of creating this collective came from the desire to share certain concerns about the city and the public sphere with other people, and also from the stories that the official discourse transmits about urban spaces and their history.

 

Facing those official hegemonic constructions, we found it necessary to activate a critical positioning, focusing our case from the gender perspective, which could make visible the way in which cities expel difference, thus turning these spaces into areas for questioning that, through a critical reading and a resignification, could be reappropiated by its inhabitants.

 

Our actions seek to generate collective reflection on these territories and their discourses.
